Women’s Soccer lose to Cazenovia College
Oct. 3, 2009 – Cazenovia, NY - The women’s soccer team lost a tough NEAC conference game to Cazenovia College on Saturday. The Nittany Lions lost 0-3 in Cazenovia, NY falling to 0-7 on the season and 0-3 in the NEAC.
In the first half both teams failed to score and were fairly even in shots on goal with Abinton having 5 and Cabrini with 8. The second half Cazenovia took control out shooting Penn State Abington 17-3 resulting in three goals.
In the net for Penn State Abington was senior Jackie McCalister (Abington, PA / Abington Senior) who had nine saves.
Sophomore Amanda Pearce (Bensalem, PA / Nazareth Academy) had 2 shots on goal and freshman Kaitlin Kozole (Philadelphia, PA / St. Hubert’s) had one shot on goal.
Penn State Abington is back in action on Tuesday, October 6th when they visit Cabrini College for a non-conference game. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
