Penn State Abington loses tough home opener
Sept. 2, 2009 - Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington Women’s Soccer team opened its 2009 season with a tough 0-5 loss against Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon.
Although Abington didn’t have any shots themselves they played an impressive defensive game. Neumann University was a quick team that attacked the net often as they registered 28 shots but was only able to connect on 5 of them. Senior goalie Jackie McCalister (Abington, PA / Abington) had a remarkable game for Penn State Abington with 16 saves.
Penn State Abington will travel to Williamsport, PA on Tuesday, September 8th to take on Penn College. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
