Women’s Soccer Outlook
The Penn State Abington women’s soccer team is looking forward to an exciting season this year as they compete in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC). This is the first provisional year in the NCAA D-III for Penn State Abington.
This year’s squad returns 3 players from last year’s team, sophomore Amanda Pearce (Bensalem, PA / Nazareth Academy) , junior Sara Petroski (Trevose, PA / Archbishop Wood) and senior Isabelle Cezaire (Philadelphia, PA / Murrell Dobbins Tech). There are 9 newcomers added to the team this year and they are expected to step right in and help make an immediate impact.
“I am excited as we enter our first year in the NEAC and the NCAA D-III. This is a great opportunity for us to build our program,” said Coach David Castellanos, who is in his third year as head coach for the women's program. “We have a tough schedule and are eager to get things started."
Penn State Abington will open their season at home on Wednesday, September 2nd against Neumann University. Kick-off is at 3:00 p.m.
