Women’s Cross Country finish 13th at 2009 Warde Invitational
September 12, 2009 - Cobleskill, NY - The Penn State Abington women’s cross country team traveled to Cobleskill, NY to take part in the 2009 Steven A. Warde Invitational on Saturday afternoon. They finished thirteenth out of a field of 13 complete teams.
Despite finishing thirteenth many of the Nittany Lions had personal bests in the 5k run. Junior Diana Rado (Philadelphia, PA / Northeast) who finished 37th overall had a personal best of 21:54.0. Sophomore Kathelene Kim (Pennsuaken, NJ / Pennsuaken) finished 80th overall with a personal best of 24:17.52. Sophomore Patricia Fernando (Philadelphia, PA / Central) finished 106th with a time of 30:04.60, senior Dragana Pesikan (Sarajevo, Yugoslavia / Abraham Lincoln) finished 109th with a time of 31:41.46 and freshman Marisol Fuentes (Philadelphia, PA / Parkway Center City) finished 110th with a time of 31:54.67, all personal bests.
The Nittany Lions will return to action on Saturday, September 19th when they travel to Geneva, NY, for the 2009 Hobart Cross Country Invitational hosted by Hobart College. The meet begins at 11:00 a.m.
