Men's soccer win 7th straight
Oct. 20, 2009 – Abington, PA – The men's soccer team won their 7th straight game as they beat Penn State Harrisburg 4-0 today and improve to 9-3 on the season and undeated against NEAC opponents. Penn State Harrisburg falls to 4-11 on the season.
Freshman Alix Edwards (Kingston, Jamaica / Bensalem) put Abington on the board with a goal 5 minutes into the game assisted by junior Anthony Root (Pipersville, PA / Pennrdige). Sophomore Elsion Pajollari (Korce, Albania / Northeast) scored in the 34th minute on an assist by Root and scored again in the 36th minute on an assist by sophomore Sebastian Hernandez (Bogota, Columbia / George Washington). The final goal of the game came in the 87th minute from sophomore Derrick Schmidt (Willow Grove, PA / Upper Dublin) assisted by sophomore Sam Neupane.
Penn State Abington returns to the field on Friday afternoon, October 23rd, when they host Morrisville State College at 4:00 p.m.
