Men's Soccer beat Penn State Berks
Oct. 14, 2009 – Abington, PA – The men's soccer team won their 6th straight game as they beat NEAC opponent Penn State Berks 3-0.
Sophomore Elsion Pajollari (Korce, Albania / Northeast) put Penn State Abington on the board when he connected on a penalty kick in the 34th minute. Senior Liam Hopkins (Ambler, PA / Upper Dublin) scored in the 54th minute from an assist by sophomore Sebastian Hernandez (Bogota, Columbia / George Washington) off of a corner kick. Freshman Alix Edwards (Kingston, Jamaica / Bensalem) had a header that scored in the 64th minute from an assist by Pajollari. Edwards has scored in 4 straight games.
This win gives Penn State Abington the lead in the NEAC with an 8-3 record in front of Keuka College who are 7-3-1.
Penn State Abington returns to the field for their first game of a back-to-back on Saturday, October 17th when they host NEAC opponent SUNY-Cobleskill from New York. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
