Men’s soccer win 5th straight


Oct. 12, 2009 – Abington, PA – The men's soccer team hosted Valley Forge Christian College where they won their 5th straight game by a score of 2-0. The Nittany Lions improve to 7-3 on the season.

Junior Anthony Root (Pipersville, PA / Pennridge) put Penn State Abington on the board with a free kick in the 29th minute.

Freshman Alix Edwards (Kingston, Jamaica / Bensalem) scored his 5th goal of the season in the 70th minute assisted by Root.

In the net for Penn State Abington was freshman Dan Carmack (California, MD / Leonardtown) who had a total of 3 saves.

Penn State Abington returns to action on Wednesday when they host Penn State Berks at 4:00 p.m.
