Penn State- Abington Winter Prospect Camps
Ages: High School – 14 and Up
Days: December 28, 30 (Monday & Wednesday)*
Cost: $125.00 per player per camp
$195.00 for two-way player
Time of Camps: 11:30 AM- 2:30 PM for Pitching
3:00 PM – 6 PM for Positional

About PSU- Abington
PSU Abington is a branch campus of Penn State University. It is located on 45 wooded acres, 15 miles from center city Philadelphia. Roughly 3,700 students attend this traditional small college, which offers the prestige of a large university. The college features 16 baccalaureate degree programs, as well as the first two years of more than 160 Penn State majors.
Penn State Abington competes as an NCAA Division III provisional member, and is a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).
Head Coach- Joe Pavlow
Coach Pavlow, is entering his second season as at the helm of the Penn State Abington Campus. In 2009, he led the team back to PSUAC conference tournament for the first time in 5 years, ending up with a 26-16 record. Pavlow was recognized as the conference’s co-coach of the year in 2009.
Previously, Coach Pavlow served as the infield/hitting coach at his alma mater, Rutgers Camden.

Camps
Pitching Camp:
Time: 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Location: Campus Athletics Building
Camp Setup:
1100 – Player Check-in
11:30 – Camp Introduction
11:45 – Warm-ups
12:15 – Individuals I
1:00 – Individuals II
1:45 – Individuals III
**Individuals will include separate areas of instruction (bullpens, mechanical drills, video, conditioning, etc. for pitchers and also, receiving, blocking, bullpens, drills, etc. for catchers)
Positional Players Camp:
Time: 3 PM to 6 PM
Location: Campus Athletics Building
Camp Setup:
2:30 – Player Check-in
3:00– Camp Introduction
3:15 – Warm-ups
3:45 – OF Individuals, INFHitting
4:50 – INF Individuals, OFHitting
**Individuals will include areas of mechanical work for both positions (footwork, setup, drills, etc.) Hitting will include drills, mechanics, live batting practice, video analysis, etc.

Facilities
The facilities being used in the Winter Prospects Camp will be the Athletics Building on the campus of Penn State Abington. This building has ample room to accommodate the full amount of players we wish to instruct. We also have plenty of training tools, and materials such as mounds, cages, floor space, etc. to also accommodate the players. We will also be using the athletics building weight room and training facilities during our camps.
What You Need to Know
- All players are responsible for accommodations including transportation to and from camp every day.
- Each player is also responsible for their equipment for the camps (Training shoes, hat, bat, glove, batting gloves, etc.)
- All camps will include a full video analysis for either one’s hitting or pitching mechanics.
- Players get what they want out of the camp. The instruction and learning of the game of baseball does not stop at us instituting it, it continues through their preparation and practice towards their season upcoming.
