Daniel Hill selected ECAC Division III – South Player of the Week
April 5, 2011 - Cape Cod, Mass - The Eastern College Athletics Conference (ECAC) has named sophomore Daniel Hill (Cherry Hill, NJ / Cherry Hill West) as the ECAC baseball Division III Player of the week of the south for the week ending April 3, 2011.
Hill led his team to a 5-1 week (2-0 in conference play). He averaged .389 at the plate, going 7-for-18 with seven hits, two doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI. He had a slugging percentage of .833, two walks and an on-base percentage of .450. On the mound, Hill went 1-0 with one complete game shutout, pitching seven innings while allowing no runs and striking out eight.
The Penn State Abington baseball team is currently 9-15 overall and 4-0 in the NEAC.
Their next home game is on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 when they host Baptist Bible College in a non-conference match at Alverthorpe Park at 3:30 p.m.
