Baseball Qualifies for 2011 ECAC Division III South Baseball Championships
May 16, 2011 – Centerville, Mass – The Penn State Abington baseball team has received a #6 seed in the 2011 ECAC Division III South Baseball Championships. They will travel to Neumann Univesity in Aston, PA to play against #3 La Roche College on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m..
This is the first time that the Penn State Abington baseball team will compete in the ECAC tournament. The Nittany Lions finished the season 20-20 overall. They lost in the NEAC Championships to Penn State Berks.
La Roche College finished the season 23-14 overall and 13-5 in the AMCC. The Redhawks lost to Medaille College in the AMCC Championship Round.
The first round winners will advance to the semi-final game against Penn State Behrend on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.

Quarterfinal Round – Saturday, May 21 at Neumann University
No. 3 La Roche College (23-14) vs. No. 6 Penn State Abington (19-18), 10:00 a.m.
No. 4 Grove City College (21-14) vs. No. 5 Medaille College (22-15), 1:00 p.m.
Semifinals – Sunday, May 22 at Neumann University
No. 4/No. 5 winner vs. No. 1 Neumann University (28-12), 9:00 a.m.
No. 3/No. 6 winner vs. No. 2 Penn State Behrend (27-12), 12:00 p.m.
Championship – Sunday, May 22 at Neumann University
Two Semifinal Winners, 3:00 p.m.
