Olivia Hamilton '08 engaged to Marc Jones, wedding is Sept 25, 2010. Bought a home in S Phila in Nov '09. Co-founded non-profit called Womencare to bring childbirth options back to Phila communities.

Michelle Cush & Jim Petty (right), both '04 grads, were married June 23, 2007. They began dating while at Abington and had their pictures taken at Abington.

Timothy Crouch ' 02 BUS married Paolina DiBenedetto on October 21, 2006.

Amy J. Doherty ’00 ABG has recently accepted the Chief Information Officer position at American Financial Realty Trust in Jenkintown, PA. After graduating from PSU Abington in 2000, Amy earned her MBA from Smeal College of Business in '06. Amy’s husband, Richard J. Sipmeier ’90 LIB, also attended Abington (Ogontz) before completing his degree at University Park.

Joseph Donald ’00 LIB was promoted on July 1, 2006 to Events Assistant with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics. He attended Penn State Abington from 1992 – 1994.

Sophie A. Krouse '00 COM married Bryan T. Riegel '99 COM on November 11, 2006. Bridesmaids included Heidi Belikoff '00 Integrative Arts, Karen McConnell '00 COM, and Jen Jernigan '01 EDU. Groomsmen include Matthew Barnett '09 BUS, Edward Richards '06 BUS, Robert Whited '00 PSY, Robert Kane '99 BUS. Sophie is the Community Relations Coordinator for the Philadelphia Phillies and Bryan works in Advertising with the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Ashley Martin '05 graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in May. She will now begin a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Robert Nash '01 rec'd Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from LECOM in 2005, Master in Medical Education in '08. Currently a Hospitalist in York, Pa.

Leah A. Smith ’01 ABG and Anthony M. Taddei ’98 HHD were married on September 3, 2006.Both attended Penn State Abington. Anthony graduated with a BS degree in Kinesiology and Leah graduated with a BS degree in Criminal Justice with a business minor. Anthony completed his Masters degree in education and teaches in Trenton, NJ. Leah is currently pursuing an MBA and is a field claims adjuster.

Diane & Michael Cunniff, '97, Michael is General Manager C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Diane is CEO of Cunniff Enterprises, sons Colin (6) and Carter (4).

James Ellsworth ’91 CA, and wife, Beth Marucci Ellsworth, ’91 ELEM ED, are happy to announce the birth of their second child, Toby, born on December 14, 2007.

Kathleen A. Clark ’94 just started teaching at a new school, Glen Landing Middle School in Blackwood, NJ, this year. She also bought and moved into her first home, a townhouse in West Deptford, NJ.

Laurie L. Dougherty ’94 HHD, a nurse practitioner, bought her first home, a townhouse in Warminster. Laurie was a board member of the Abington Alumni Society from 2004 - 2007. She is member with Penn State Montgomery County Alumni Chapter.

1980s

Michael Antonietti '89, father of three boys and lives in Salem, NH. Michael is currently CMO and Managing Director of GE Capital Sponsor Finance and also serves as GE's Campus Recruiting Leader for Penn State.

Richard Jurewicz, '80, For the fifth consecutive year received award for Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, which is given to top 5% of attorneys statewide. He practices in center Philadelphia.

Edward W. Stewart ’82 AG has accepted a position as Senior Vice-President of Marketing with Bandwith.com, located in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. Ed continues to train and race competitively in bicycling and in the Decathalon.

Paula (Granese) Husar '86 Paula has accepted the position of Principal of the Chichester Middle School in Boothwyn, PA.  In addition to her PSU undergraduate degree, she earned her principal certification and her M.Ed. in Instructional Systems Design at Penn State - Great Valley.

William S. Riehl, III ’87 ENG – For his full time job, Bill is Director of Operations for Niemeyer and Associates, a nationwide Railroad Engineering consulting firm. For his part time job, he is Commander of the Air Force Reserve's 482 Civil Engineer Squadron, based at Homestead Florida. In his spare time he Assistant Cubmaster for his son's Cub Scout Pack and serves as Chairman of Committee 24 Education and Training for the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association. Bill will begin his three year term on the Abington Alumni Society board on July 1 2007.

Maria McGinnis Snyder ‘88 EMS has a second novel, Magic Study. It was published in October 2006 and is currently a finalist for RWA's RITA Award. Her first novel, Poison Study was published in October 2005 and won the 2006 Compton Crook Award for best first book of 2005 given by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society. In January, Maria earned a Master of Arts degree in Writing from Seton Hill University. Robert B. Devine ’77 LIB retired in 2006 from the Secret Service after 26 years. He is currently working as a Special Agent with the U.S. Environmental Protections Agency in Washington, DC in the Criminal Investigation Division, Professional Integrity & Quality Assurance Unit.

Bonnie Earl ’77 HHD was elected Treasurer of Color Marketing Group, an international, not for profit Association of Color Designers. Founded in 1962 and based in Alexandria, VA, Color Marketing Group forecast Color Directions 20 months or more in advance for all industries, manufactured goods and services. These encompass Consumer/Residential and Contract/Commercial Products which include: Transportation, Visual Communication, Technology, Home, Consumer Goods, Juvenile Products, Fashion, Action/Recreation, Health Care, Hospitality/Entertainment, Office, Retail and Institutional/Public Spaces.

1960s

Harry A. Butowsky ’66 LIB gave a talk at the Pritzker Military Library on the subject of his new book, "An American Family in World War II," in Chicago on May 31, 2007. The library contains over 25,000 volumes of literature as well as over 800 posters and invites authors to discuss topics in American Military History. Their lecture series is open to the public. Harry’s talk was carried on Channel 20 in Chicago on Sunday June 3, 2007 and is available on a Pod Cast that will be archived on the Pritzker Library web site. His book is selling well and will be used by the local middle and high schools in Loudoun County Virginia to teach the History World War II. Harry also received the 2007 Communications Award from the George Wright Society at their Annual Meeting in Minneapolis for his work in creating the National Park Service History web site. http://www.cr.nps.gov/history/index.asp

Carter B. Schroy '69 Bphys, '74g Bphys, '78g Genet (Outstanding Alumnus of Ogontz Campus '83) has retired from a career as a research biophysicist and clinical medical physicist in radiation oncology to his home in Del Mar, CA.
