Andy Santacroce ’88 Math Establishes Penn State Abington Scholarship through Employee Matching Program
Alumnus Andy Santacroce (’88 Math) has taken advantage of a matching program through his employer Verizon to establish a scholarship for residents of his community in Horsham Township, PA.
Santacroce decided to donate his annual earnings as a township Council member to seed the scholarship. His employer matched that amount, effectively doubling the impact of his generosity for the benefit of the student recipients.
At the donor’s request, the only restriction on the Andy Santacroce Horsham Community Alumni Scholarship is that the recipient be a Horsham Township resident and active in community service.
“Establishing the scholarship was a great way for me to give back to the Horsham community and Penn State Abington – two places I’m proud to call mine,” said Santacroce.
