Interests: reading and enjoys learning about a variety of topics
Favorite Place on Campus: His favorite place on campus was Sutherland Hall. He recalls seeing “The Mark Twain One Man Show” while he was a student at Abington. In fact, he attributes this experience to his life-long love of reading Mark Twain’s works. Ken recalls being in the student lounge located in the Sutherland building listening to the juke box with other students when the teacher came in and turned off the juke box to tell the students that President John Kennedy had been assassinated.
Clubs/Activities: ROTC, student government, intramural touch football
Since there was no gymnasium, all of the gym classes were taken outside. He remembers taking a bike trip with Wes Olsen that he really enjoyed and also remembers learning how to drive a golf ball in one of the classes.
Favorite Teacher(s): math teacher
If I could change one thing….. easier to get there.
Word of Advice for our Students: Learn the basics, prepare for anything, don’t focus in one are, learn for life not for the test – no matter what.
