May 10 - Tailgate at the Dad Vail Regatta
This year’s Dad Vail Regatta is taking place on the Schuylkill River race course May 9-10. The Philadelphia Chapter of Penn State Alumni Association will be teaming up with the PSU Crew AIG for a riverfront picnic during the semi-finals and finals on Saturday, May 10, 10am - 5pm.
Last year we had 10 – 15 non-Crew chapter members join the 100 or so Crew Alumni, student rowers, parents and coaches under the Penn State tents to socialize, eat, root onPenn State and honor the team at the 5 pm awards ceremony.Penn State had six boats in the semi-finals, three in the finals, and won two silver medals. 
We hope to triple or quadruple the number of attendees and up the medal count as well this year.

May 20 - Networking Event
Join us on May 20, 6:30-8:30pm at Penn State Abington for an opportunity to network with other Penn Staters. This event will feature Penn State alumnus Layli M. Alexander ‘01, Assistant City Solicitor for Philadelphia. Layli will share how her Penn State connections have helped her find success.
Cheryl Bonner, director of Alumni Career Services will discuss tips on using your Penn State connections for career and business success.
This special evening will also feature door prizes and refreshments.
If you attended the Penn State Abington campus, this is a terrific opportunity to come back and see us. For those new to the campus, you will be impressed by our beautiful campus.
