Business Writing
This is an overview program to re-acquaint individuals in business and industry to some of the key principles involved in business writing such as audience, message and outcome.
Those that should attend include all supervisors and support staff whose job includes sending clear, concise, accurate messages within the workplace environment.
Participants will have opportunities to:
• Enhance their understanding of the value-personally and organizationally-of using polished, professional writing skills on the job.
• Reduce any feelings of fear or unease they may have about the challenges of writing well and correctly.
• Learn and practice techniques for grammar and punctuation.
• Learn and practice some basic techniques for identifying and responding appropriately to various audiences.
• Explore and apply professional writing techniques to the challenges found within e-mails and other types of documents they write most often.
