To park on campus, students must display a Penn State Abington parking permit on the rear view mirror. If you plan on driving more than one vehicle, all of your cars need their own permits.
Parking permits are FREE at Penn State Abington.
- First, submit the Parking Permit Request Form below. A confirmation email will be sent back to you. Please bring this with you to pick up your permit. You will also need to present your Penn State ID card, Drivers License and your vehicle information.
- Then, obtain your Parking Permit at the Security Office located in Room 107 in the Rydal Bldg (campus map). See Summer hours below.

Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Fall Semester Hours
Mon - Thu, 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Fri, 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

You must re-register your car and receive a new Parking Permit when your current permit expires.
Abington campus offers free van service to Jenkintown and Rydal Train Stations. The PSU Van departs from the Sutherland Visitor Lot.
Van Service to Huntingdon Field lot and Target lot runs approximately every 15 minutes. Times: 8:30am - 9:30pm (Friday until 5:30).
SEPTA Bus 55 (Old York Road/Woodland Road bus stop with a four block walk to campus); SEPTA Regional Rail R1 (Jenkintown train station with bus service to campus); SEPTA Regional Rail R3 (Rydal Train Station with bus & van service or a 15 minute walk to campus); SEPTA Regional Rail R5 (Jenkintown Train Station with bus service to campus).
