The Business Panel answering questions for students on campus in October featured Allison Rehmann from Enterprise, Terri Ryan from Comcast, Jessi Janiec from Vanguard, Angelisa Cataldo from John Cataldo Jr. & Associates, PC, and Greg Swindells from Northwestern Mutual.
These are held once a semester and provide an opportunity for employers from a wide variety of companies/organizations to meet our current students and recent alumni who are seeking full- or part-time employment, as well as internships. Students come professionally dressed, well-prepared, and eager to discuss their skills and accomplishments. See photo gallery below.
Diversity Alumni Mentoring Luncheon
This program provides career and professional advice and support for our diverse student body. The focus of this program is to teach the necessary skills for professional success. Alumni mentors become an ongoing resource for our students.
Graduate School Fair
Admissions staff from local graduate schools join us to provide information and answer any questions students may have about continuing their education
The workshop introduces students to the Penn State Abington internship program. You will learn all the steps involved in planning for an internship, as well as suggestions for securing an internship site. This program is strongly recommended for students in majors requiring internships and for those pursuing exploratory experiences, but all students are welcome.
Kaplan Test Prep & Review
Law Fair & Forum
This full day event gives our students the chance to meet local law school admission representatives and includes a panel of local attorneys to discuss possible career paths in the legal profession.
‘Learn at Lunch’ Panel Discussions
These offer students the chance to learn all about careers and internship opportunities in many of the Abington majors. Held during lunchtime, students grab a sandwich while participating in a full interactive panel discussion by alumni and other local professionals.
Information Fair Series
Created for the Healthcare and Administration of Justice fields, these are similar to the Learn at Lunch series but designed more as a mini - Career Fair to accommodate a larger number of panel members.
Held for a week each semester, these interviews with our current students are conducted by local professionals and many times with local alumni. These are a wonderful learning tool as they are videotaped, critiqued, and then discussed with the students to improve their techniques. This is also an excellent opportunity for these employers to meet potential interns or employees, as well as familiarize our students with the company or organization.
