Personal Care Home Administrator 100-Hour Training
Aspiring personal care home administrators, nurses, caregivers, and health care professionals can complete the state Department of Public Welfare’s 100-hour standardized training program at Penn State Abington. See important information on qualifying to take this training in the text box on right.

SUMMER SESSION: JUNE 4-AUGUST 9, 2013
The program will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5-9:30pm. The PCHA Exam will be administered on Friday, August 9, 2013.
FALL SESSION: SEPTEMBER 20-DECEMBER 14, 2013
This program will be offered on Fridays, from 5-9:30pm and Saturdays, from 9am-5:30pm. The PCHA Exam will be scheduled during the week of December 16.
Courses and Tuition
The Personal Home Care Administrator Training consists of 19 courses that vary in length from 2 to 9 hours. Tuition is $1495 and includes all course materials and the exam.

Courses in the PCHA 100-Hour Training
* Individuals who have a valid certification in Adult CPR are exempt from the required training hours to complete Adult CPR training. Individuals who have a valid certification in First Aid are exempt from the required training hours to complete First Aid training. If an individual completes training receives the certification in less than the minumum number of required training hours they are exempt from the remaining number of hours to complete this section of the training requirements. A individual wishing to use their certification in place of taking this course will need to show the valid certification(s) to Penn State staff and a copy will be kept on file.
