Penn State Abington fires up robot creators

Robotics enthusiasts flocked to the annual Penn State Abington Regional Firefighting Robot Contest last week.

Penn State Abington honored some of its outstanding students on a picture-perfect spring evening last week at the Awards and Leadership Dinner. The annual recognition program highlights high-achievers in all academic divisions as well as those who have excelled in diversity and leadership.

Last month, Kagan was presented with the 2013 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching by University President Rodney Erickson.

More than 150 Penn State Abington student-athletes were honored for their accomplishments on the fields and courts, in academics and in life at the annual sports banquet that also marked the close of Abington’s initial year as a full member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III.
