Meteorology Camp - section 001 - July 8-12

Meteorology Camp - section 001 - July 8-12
Course Description

Are you curious about how weather predictions are made?  Do you think you could “out forecast” the experts you see television?  Come to Weather Camp and find out! You will receive hands-on training in many aspects of weather, including the actual process of making a forecast.  Come join us for lab activities and field experiments that expand your knowledge of atmospheric sciences. Learn how to use computer forecasting models and make the important connections between meteorology and our daily lives.  Students can also learn team-building skills, enhance their communication skills, and participate in a weather forecasting contest.  This will all culminate in a storm design scenario in which campers choose a theme and play the role of a television meteorologist.
