This is no different at Penn State Abington and was evident everywhere over the past few weeks. Beginning with the ACURA poster show, the Bertha Lear art exhibit, the debut of our Maker Faire, and the Senior Art Show at the Abington Art Center, the research, scholarly and creative activities of our students were shining and in full bloom (if you’ll excuse my mixed spring metaphor).
I think what also intrigued me was to see the interconnections between the students’ work and what I know of the work of the faculty who were their mentors. That connection and yet with the individual expression or idea of the student then taking the project or the piece in a completely new direction shows what faculty student research is all about. Our pride continues at Awards and Leadership Recognition Dinner and culminates at Commencement in May. We are truly fortunate.
