Penn State Abington offers the following articulation and transfer agreements with Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) for First-Year students.

3 + 3 in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s degree in Science/Doctor of Physical Therapy)
Complete the first three years at Penn State Abington and your final three years at TJU. You can earn a Bachelor’s degree in Science with the Life Science option from Penn State Abington and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from TJU. Students must apply to this program directly from high school.

• Applicants with a minimum 3.3 high school GPA, a minimum 1800 SAT, two letters of recommendation, and a favorable interview with the joint Penn State Abington–TJU faculty committee, can be admitted directly into the 3+3 program as a first-year student.

• Applicants with a minimum 1650 SAT, 3.3 high school GPA, and two letters of recommendation, can be admitted into Penn State Abington’s science degree with the opportunity to interview for the 3+3 DPT program. After the first year at Penn State Abington with a minimum 3.3 GPA (no prerequisite course lower than a “C”), and a letter of recommendation from the program’s designated contact person, students will be interviewed by the joint interview committee. If reviewed favorably, students will be admitted into the 3+3 DPT Program without losing any time or coursework.

2 + 2 in Specialized Sciences (Associate degree in LAS/Bachelor’s degree in Science)
Complete the first two years of prerequisite coursework at Penn State Abington and complete your final two years at TJU. You can be admitted to TJU for a specialized science degree, such as Nursing, Bioscience Technologies, or Radiologic Sciences. Those completing this program will earn an associate degree from Penn State Abington in Letters, Arts, and Sciences and a bachelor of science degree from TJU.

3 + 2 in Biotechnology, Cyotechnology, or Medical Technology (Bachelor’s degree in Science/Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Cyotechnology, or Medical Technology)
Complete the first three years of prerequisite course work at Penn State Abington and complete your final two years at TJU. You can earn a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Penn State Abington and both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology, Cyotechnology, or Medical Technology from TJU.

3 + 2 in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s degree in Psychological and Social Sciences/Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy)
Complete the first three years of prerequisite course work at Penn State Abington and the final two years at TJU. You can earn a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological and Social Sciences from Penn State Abington and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from TJU.
