Occasionally the college is obligated to cancel classes for a variety of reasons that may or may not be weather related. Closures are always determined on a case by case basis with the safety of our students, faculty and staff a top priority. When a closure does occur there are several ways the college will notify campus community including:
• Penn State Abington Web site -
• The emergency telephone line - 215-881-7669 (SNOW)
• Major media outlets including KYW radio. Evening classes are cancelled when 2323 (Montgomery County) is announced.
• PSU Text Messaging - To sign up to receive a text message about a campus closure or other emergency, go to follow the instructions, be sure to check Abington Campus, otherwise you won't receive our local alerts.
I strongly suggest that you do this, as there have been times our campus was closed due to other issues not involving weather.

We hope your learning experience at Penn State will be a rewarding one.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
