The Printmaking area at Penn State Abington is committed to helping students develop their own individual voices using diverse approaches to the printmaking process.

A wide range of classes are offered that address both contemporary critical thought and technical concerns. Students begin with an introductory class that touches on several basic printmaking processes and continue with classes that focus on individual interests or applied formats such as artists’ books and digital printmaking. Advanced classes provide the opportunity for individualized student research and exploration related to the art of printmaking.

The printmaking area provides the opportunity for students to explore both traditional and contemporary methods of making prints. Studio facilities include an etching press, well-equipped computer labs, and access to a state-of-the-art large-format digital printer.
