The Art major combines traditional and contemporary approaches to making art while developing artistic, critical, and communication skills.
Art majors at Penn State Abington earn a liberal arts education that prepares them for a professional career in the arts or graduate study.
Art majors visit galleries and museums in the region during the course of their studies and intern with professional artists or local art or cultural institutions.
Art majors have the opportunity to view and participate in exhibits on campus:
- Bertha Lear Student Art Exhibition
- Alumni Art Exhibition
- traveling exhibitions like Arctic Quest
Additionally, they have the opportunity to participate in critiques with visiting artists.
