This Program combines history, literature, anthropology, folklore, and the arts to examine American society.
Students explore American culture from multiple perspectives, analyzing high and popular culture, national and regional issues, and mainstream and marginal voices.
Develop speaking, writing, and analytic abilities necessary for success in business, education, law, museum/archive work, journalism, social services, and foreign/domestic government services. Some graduates continue their education in graduate or professional schools.
