| Penn State Abington Traditions |
Tradition is a great part of college life and it is present here at Abington. Below is a list of some of the traditions that the Office of Student Life helps to bring to the Penn State Abington community. We hope that throughout the year you'll become apart of these memorable events!
New Student DayPrior to the first day of classes, our incoming students are welcomed onto campus with a day full of events, including a national speaker, college meetings, lunch, carnival style activities, and an involvement fair. The support and energy from the Penn State Abington Orientation Leaders help to make this day exciting.
Fall Fest
About halfway through the semester, the Lares Entertainment And Programming Board (LEAP) works with other campus clubs to put on a week's worth of events. The week often falls around Halloween and has included a Murder Mystery Dinner, costume contests, and a psychic fair. If you are interested in joining the Fall Fest committee, contact LEAP!
Club Showcase
Involvement is a big part of campus life, and we always want to offer chances for students to become part of our clubs and organizations on campus. In January the clubs come together to recruit new members and show off what they've accomplished.
Spring Formal
Our annual formal is an opportunity for our students to get dressed up and dance the night away off campus. Past formals have been held on the Spirit of Philadelphia and at the Philadelphia Wyndham. If you'd like to serve on the Formal committee, stop by the Office of Student Life!
Spring Fling
As the weather turns warm, the students at Abington celebrate with a great outdoor event. You can always count on lunch, t-shirts, and carnival type games when you go to Spring Fling. If you'd like to help plan Spring Fling, stop by the Office of Student Life to find out when the committee meets!
