Penn State ranked 16th for best undergraduate engineering programs in "America's Best Colleges" (US News and World Report 2005).

Penn State College of Engineering majors:

Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural and Biological, Architectural Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering

  • All Engineering and Computer Science majors can be started at Abington campus (or University Park or other Penn State locations);
  • 2+2 Option: 2 years at Abington + 2 years at University Park;
  • Same engineering courses at Abington as University Park, smaller classes at Abington;
  • Abington offers: Engineering Club, IEEE student branch, ASME student branch, ACURA (undergraduate research), Robotics program.

Engineering CO-OP in Industry

Three, four-month work periods, over 200 companies participate, optional. Abington students can fully participate in all co-op and internship programs. Penn State co-op companies include Lockheed Martin, Unisys, Merck, NASA, Ford, IBM, PennDOT, EPA, Xerox, Harley Davidson, Verizon, U.S. Navy, DuPont, Intel, Boeing, GE, and others.
