Internship Workshop Presentation - see details about getting an internship

Five Penn State Abington majors require internship experience:

Administration of Justice
Business
IST – additional information about IST internships
Corporate Communications
Psychological and Social Sciences

Elective internships are also available for those interested in gaining work experience.

How Do I Get an Internship?

Step 1: Fill out an Internship Request Form. Go to the CDC (206 Lares) and meet with the Career Counselor who coordinates internships for your major.

Step 2: Find a job! Sounds easy right? The CDC is here to help you. Here are some tips:

Meet with your Career Counselor. Your Counselor will help you prepare your resume, and search for jobs. PSU Abington has contacts at many area organizations who are interested in employing our interns.

Register with College Central Network. Upload your resume and look at company postings for jobs/internships.

Step 3: After being accepted, have your new supervisor send us a Letter of Acceptance. Print this sample letter, give it to your supervisor, and instruct him/her to follow it closely. The letter should be addressed to your Career Counselor, and can be mailed, faxed, or hand delivered by you.
