"Career Closet"
The Career Closet at Penn State Abington is now open for business! This initiative provides students with proper attire for job interviews and career fairs. The goal is to give every student the opportunity to dress professionally in a good quality business suit that will ensure they look their best for meeting with potential employers. This project reinforces the importance and the benefits of appearing professional.
This service focuses on the students who do not have the availability of acquiring professional business attire. For many students, purchasing a suit can be an additional expense, as well as, being a very time consuming task.
The program was created by the Career Development Center and is run by SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise). Enterprise Holdings donated $250 to the program. Allison James (pictured far right), Recruiting Manager, was instrumental in getting funding. Also pictured, Amanda Tralies, SIFE President and student Carolyn DiSandro.
Enterprise employees have also donated 35 suits through Allison's efforts, and will continue to collect and donate gently worn business suits for the program.
The Penn State Abington campus is known for its unity, community service and outreach. We believe with the support of our alumni, staff, student organizations and the local business community; this project provide a much needed service for years to come.
