Abington College Undergraduate Activities (ACURA)
As early as your first year at Penn State Abington, you have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a faculty member in his/her area of research and to present your findings at a year-end campus event.

Abington Honors Program/Schreyer Honors Program
If you are a student with exceptional academic records, you can participate in one of two honors programs, taking classes with top-notch faculty and earning scholarship money as well.

The Abington Review
Penn State Abington's literary magazine gives students the opportunity to showcase their artistic and creative talents. The magazine is published annually and consists of poetry, prose, photographs, sketches and drawings submitted by Penn State Abington students and staff.

The Dialectics
A refereed, multidisciplinary electronic publication housed at the Abington College of the Pennsylvania State University. The Journal’s aim is to promote undergraduate discourse and scholarship and to encourage students to pursue and engage in thoughtful discourses on topics of societal importance.

First-Year Seminar Program
As a first-year student you will have the opportunity to choose from a wide array of First-Year Seminar courses, each with its own academic theme, but all emphasizing the development of critical skills such as time management, note taking, and study skills.

Internships
Penn State Abington has a unique advantage-the prestige of the Penn State name and its location near the fifth largest U.S. city in its backyard. So many internship opportunities are available that students often do two: an "exploratory" internship in their sophomore year and a "major-specific" internship in their final two years. In addition, co-ops are available to students in the College of Science and the College of Engineering.

Learning Center
As a student at Penn State Abington, you can get free, one-on-one tutoring in almost any academic area. Need help with calculus? Having trouble with that research paper? Both professional tutors and peer tutors are there to help.

Library
The Penn State Abington library offers a powerful collection of electronic resources, the ability to retrieve documents from any library in the Big Ten, and a friendly, personable staff to help you with anything you need.

Math Options
Math Options is a Math, Science, Engineering and Technology Career Day for High School Women. It brings together young women and professional women from academia, medicine, government agencies, business and industry.

Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
SIFE is a global non-profit organization active in more than 40 countries. Funded by financial contributions from corporations, entrepreneurs, foundations, government agencies and individuals, SIFE works in partnership with business and higher education, and establishes student teams on university campuses. These teams are led by faculty advisors and they are challenged to develop community outreach projects.

Study Abroad Programs
You can choose among 130 programs to study abroad in 49 countries; also, Penn State Abington participates in an exchange program with Hof University in Germany.

Army ROTC
Elective courses offered at Abington provide practical training in leadership and management, while helping to build your confidence.
