Take small classes, with top faculty and other excellent students. Honors students enroll in a distinctive curriculum of courses restricted to honors students. These classes are limited to a maximum of 15-20 students and are taught by our most sought-after faculty.

Qualify for scholarship money. Students who excel in the program are supported with partial tuition scholarships throughout their careers at Penn State Abington.

Enjoy priority registration. Honors students register first, before the general student population. They are also among the first students considered for peer assistantships, jobs in the Learning Center, and positions as Orientation Leaders, Peer Mentors, and ACURA participants.

Participate in undergraduate research. Penn State Abington's ACURA program offers priority to interested honors students, allowing one-on-one collaboration with faculty as early as freshman year. Students present their findings along with their faculty sponsor and sometimes are invited to present at national conferences.

Attend free plays and trips. The Honors Program sponsors trips to Center City as well as regional destinations (e.g., DC, NYC, Baltimore) to see plays, visit museums, and attend concerts. Students choose which trips and activities the program sponsors each semester.
