Library hours?
Do I need a Penn State I.D.? How do I get one?
You will need a Penn State student I.D. to use the library, and activate your access account. The I.D. card also contains your Penn State I.D. number. Student I.D.s are available throughout the semester at the Lares Information Desk, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. At the beginning of each semester, Student I.D. are also available in the evening on the first three class nights until 7:30 p.m. at the Lares Information Desk
Are tutors available?
Penn State Abington has a Learning Center available for a variety of subjects.
Does Penn State Abington offer job placement?
No, the University does not offer job placement, but has a Career Development Office which offers career counseling, hosts job fairs, and maintains a database of employment opportunities for students and alumni.
Am I eligible for Financial Aid?
You may be eligible for financial aid. In order to determine your eligibilty, a FASFA (Federal Application for Student Financial Aid) is required. The application process is free.
Penn State Abington has staff devoted to Financial Aid administration. Staff are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and at other times by appointment. Much information is available on the Financial Aid website.
Do I need a parking decal?
Yes, all vehicles, except visitors, must be registered. You can register your vehicle in the Safety Office, Room 107 Rydal Building. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday 7:30 - 4:30 p.m. You must bring your valid operators license and your valid vehicle registration.
Can I meet with an Adviser?
Penn State Abington has advisers who can meet with you during both day and evening hours. There are advisers identified to specifically meet the needs of adult learners,

Cafeteria hours?
Cafeteria, located in the Lares Building, is open 7:30am-6pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am-3pm on Friday. The cafeteria is not open on the weekend.
Vending machines are located Lares, basement of Sutherland Building, and on the 3rd floor of Woodland Building.

Campus bookstore hours?
The bookstore, located in the Lares Building, is open Monday from 8 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Hours are extended during the first two weeks of classes each semester, including Saturday hours on the first two Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
How can I access Penn State's computer network?
Access Accounts - If you are registered for credit courses and pay a technology fee, you have a Penn State access account and email account. You must activate your accounts at a signature station using your Penn State I.D. Signature stations are located in the Library, Scheduling Office (121 Sutherland), and 335 Woodland Computer Center.
What is ANGEL? ANGEL is Penn State's Course Management System.
What is eLion?
Elion is Penn State's interactive system delivered by the latest technologies to supplement student-adviser relationships. Students can use eLion to check bursar accounts, perform real time degree audits and edit personal information
Can I access my Penn State email on and off campus?
Yes, you can access Penn State Webmail from any computer with an internet connection. You will log in using your access account ID and password.
